Dark Knight: Movie a Hit, Actors Not Faring As Well

Update: "Morgan has a broken arm, broken elbow and minor shoulder damage but he is in good spirits," said rep Donna Lee, reports People magazine. "He says he'll be okay and is looking forward to a full recovery."

First there was the tragic death of Ledger. Then Batman himself got himself ensnared in a row with his family that resulted in a police investigation and now Morgan Freeman is in serious condition after flipping a friend's Maxima. If I were Michael Caine, I wouldn't leave the house for awhile.

The cause of the accident has not been made public, but there is speculation that Mr. Freeman may have fallen asleep at the wheel and allowed the car to drift off the road and then overcorrected and flipped the car. Ever the jokester, Mr. Freeman was making wise cracks to onlookers before being airlifted to a hospital. Hopefully Lucius Fox and his passenger will make a speedy recovery.

The photo above is a stock photo of a 1997 Maxima and is not the car involved in the accident.
