Lexus RX Likely to Stay With 2 Rows

Automotive News is reporting (sub required) that the next Lexus RX-350 (LF-Xh Concept top picture) will likely stay a 5 seater and not add a third row. I had questioned why Lexus would mess with the successful RX formula in this post from October of last year. It has been rumored for some time that a third row option would be available, but I've never felt the design would be well-suited to this.

Instead the RX will probably stay with its current seating configuration while seven seater duties would be handled by the GX and its successor. That GX may go the way of the dodo and be replaced by the GS based LF-X AKA HPX (last picture above) concept that is slated to compete with the likes of Infiniti's FX and whatever Acura has been testing in the desert recently.
