Some smart fortwos have the unfortunate habit of getting their gear selectors stuck. Not cool, especially when you are out and about. Chances are that most smart owners already know about this fix, but I really like well made "how to" videos and I think this person did a very good job. It's a simple operation that's made even simpler! Here's hoping that you never get stuck!

Thats a nice piece of info. But i still don't understand why people would get this one, instead of a Honda Fit which is more spaciouse ;)
I think it's a matter of style more than anything else. I really like the Fit myself, but my time spent with a smart cabrio was very enjoyable. My concern is, how many other issues with the smart's assembly will there be? There's this sticky shifter, "check engine" lights and a lot of owners finding loose grounding cables (which can manifest itself in many diff ways). Early adopters are usually a pretty forgiving bunch, but once those folks have had their fill who will smart sell to?
I'm a fan of the Fit, but not sure if I'd actually take the plunge to buy one. And there's a ton of other how to videos on MonkeySee.com as well--worth a look.
