File this one under the "could be worse" category. The Tiguan wasn't available last year, so that model adds 1,031 to the tally. The new Jetta Sportwagen, also new, added 867 units to the total. The Jetta sedan was up as was the GTI but other than those two models, it was all downhill. Still in today's selling climate, many manufacturers would have happy to post such numbers.
