First Retail Production Camaro Brings In $350K For Charity

GM scored a nice chunk of change the American Heart Association by auctioning off the first retail production Camaro with a VIN ending with #100001. All in lot number 1316 brought $350,000.00 at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. Now the site actually quotes $385K, but that would reflect a buyer's premium and it was my understanding that the charity cars do not carry any commissions or premiums.

The above picture is merely representational of what the buyer will get. Whoever signed that big check will get to specify the color and options of their liking. Barrett-Jackson waves all its commission and the buyer will give the money directly to the charity.
