Stories like this make you wonder why there aren't more woman-owned/operated garages like SF's Luscious Garage. I've heard many a sob story myself of the shameful treatment that some mechanics heave upon their female customers. Now, I'm not trying to pick on all garages, because I know there are a lot of mechanics out there who "get it" and treat women with respect and in-turn earn their repeat business.
Canadian women still believe they are getting short-changed when it comes to car repairs, according to a new survey released Thursday. In a Harris/Decima poll, 43 per cent of female respondents said they receive poorer service in auto body shops than do men.
