Borrowing car does not convey ownership: Roommate gets slapped with Grand Theft Auto

There's nothing like driving someone else's car!

A Florida man asks to borrow a car from his roommate and promises to pick up said roommate after work. At some point during that day, the man decides that Florida was not for him and decides to move to Mobile, Alabama. Four months later the man, Phung Van Nguyen, has been charged with felony grand theft auto.

You truly can't make this stuff up, can you?
