The Honda Fit is Go…To Sea!

Well, the motor at least. Honda has announced the all-new BF90 and BF75 medium-sized 4-stroke marine outboard engines. What’s interesting from an automotive perspective is that both outboards were developed on the base of the 1.5-liter engine of the Honda Fit.

The two new models will go on sale through Honda's outboard dealers in Japan on November 1, 2006. As for pricing, I haven’t seen any official numbers but I’d wager that a 90HP, 4-stroke outboard would MSRP around $10K.
