smart fortwo BRABUS Xclusive

I was just surfing around on DC's media site, saw these pictures of the Brabus version of the fortwo and I thought I'd post them here. As you know we're aren't even getting the hotted up version of the fortwo, although some articles hint that maybe we'll get a higher performance version later on. The fortwo hitting our shores has 70hp, the Europeans get the option of an 83hp turbo and the Brabus has hotted things up to 98hp. If I were a betting man, I'd wager that smart will introduce models such as a hybrid and a performance model a few years down the road to keep things fresh, very much like Mini has done.
The countdown continues, soon we'll be seeing the smart fortwo kick off a tour of this great land of ours and then dealers should be announced. After that it'll be just a few more months before you can pick up a smartie of your own.
I've been a big backer of the smart for a long time. You can't get more of a niche car than this, but its unique looks serve it well in this department. How many hand raisers will actually ink a contract for this little ride remains to be seen, but Penske couldn't really ask for a better environment.
